The Juki HZL-29Z is another beginner/ basic sewing machine from the Japanese brand Juki. We already had the pleasure of reviewing its sister which is the Juki HZL-27Z so now let us conduct a Juki HZL-29Z Review to know its features and functions and if it differs from its sister model.
Juki HZL-29Z Review: Comparison
I couldn’t help but do a head to head comparison between the 29Z and the 27Z models because, at first glance, you would think that they are almost exactly the same and only vary in color. Hence to be fair and give the 29Z a chance, I still did a head to head.
After a thorough comparison, they appear to have the same dimension and weight. The same 22 stitch capabilities, both have the same features:
- Automatic Needle Threader
- White LED light
- Easy drop-in bobbin
- Free arm sewing
- Four-step buttonhole
- 7 point feed dog
- Easy sewing start
- Changeable needle position
So in conclusion, the only difference between the two models is the color scheme just like my initial appraisal. However, this means that the 29Z is also a very handy tool to have at home for your beginner or basic sewing projects. Out of the 22 stitches it is capable of, 8 are fancy enough and can be used for freehand decorative embroidery sewing. So again, for beginners and occasional users, this is still a great product to have.
